I'm a Student Again
I've known it was coming for some time now, me going back to school. I've been debating what to do for my graduate degree for quite a while. I ruled out law school pretty fast, then considered a master's in international relations, and then settled on an MBA. Although the steep price tag for any of these possibilities is a bit discouraging. I did come up with a solution here, (check out #2), but that's more of a long-term plan. So in the meantime I'm taking a few classes here in Argentina at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). So far I've got an architecture class on Wednesdays, and a Jazz History class on Monday nights. Tonight we're looking at the swing era. It's fantastic. On thursdays I've got an art history class at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. It's weird to do all of this in Spanish, but it's definitely helping me perfect my first language. It's weird, I know. My vocab notebook gets new additions after every class. And it's a great way to meet new people. Here's me at the UBA. Too bad the uniforms here are only up to high school level. I think I would've looked fantastic in a plaid skirt.
